My name is Tyler Erickson.  I am driven by the desire to produce the most realistic and artistic taxidermy available.  I have attended many competitions and seminars in my pursuit to improve.  I have been blessed to win many top awards at the state and world level including World Champion (reproductions) in 2017, North American Champion, and National Champion in 2018.  Second in the World (Reproductions, 2015), 12 State Champion titles in Minnesota and South Dakota, 4 Best of Shows, 2 Wasco Awards (most artistic), South Dakota's Best All Around Taxidermist, taxidermists' choice Best Whitetail Award, Best of Category waterfowl (pro division), and many more.

 

   The same details that win shows are the same details I put into my customers' work. I take pride in the  quality of my work.  I will provide you with a wonderful piece of wildlife art that you will be proud to display.  

 

     I grew up near Fox Lake, Minnesota. As a young boy, I was introduced to the outdoors by my father and fell in love with God's creation. I landed my first trophy walleye when I was four and still remember trying to reel it in. I am an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. 

 

     I graduated in May 2007 from South Dakota State University with a degree in wildlife and fisheries. I attended the American Institute of Taxidermy in Wisconsin and am certified by the school. I am also state and federally licensed. I treat every mount as if it were my own and pay special attention to detail. I pride myself on my quality, honesty, and friendly service. I work with you, the customer, to give you what you want.  I know am fortunate to give back to the industry through Judging and advanced training classes that i offer, along with several lines of products that i have developed.

 

In May 2008 I married my lovely wife Rachel. n February 2014 we welcomed our son Zadok into the world.  He is a real joy to us and has taken a great liking to all things involving fish.

in September of 2016 we welcomed our daughter Hannah into the family, She is a real joy and walking all over the place.
